Requirements for the Minor in Art History
Graduate students pursuing degrees in fields other than art history at Penn State may complete a graduate minor. The graduate minor in art history is available for both master’s and doctoral degrees.
The graduate minor in art history provides the student with a foundation in advanced research in art history. In addition to gaining in-depth knowledge of diverse areas of art history, students who complete the graduate minor also learn the methodological tools particular to art history as a discipline.
Students wishing to earn a graduate minor in art history must complete 5 art history courses at the 400- or 500-level, with at least 3 being at the 500 level. For more information on the graduate minor, see https://bulletins.psu.edu/graduate/programs/minors/
